Hi, and welcome to my website.
My name is Bassam Zahid. I am trained in emergency and critical care medicine. I am passionate about creativity, books, self-actualization, entrepreneurship, art, medicine, healthcare management and innovation, science, literature, tech, and so much more. Since I often write to learn, my blog posts tend to be eclectic, representing whatever I have recently learned, discovered, or accomplished.
I am an aspiring polymath. I am constantly striving to learn, to create, and to grow. I love conceiving, starting, and executing on projects. The fact that an idea can be born in one’s mind and then manifested in real life excites me. The fact that this idea can change someone’s life for the better drives me. And the act of creation, the process of making, the immersion into flow state ultimately fulfills me.
My prior projects include designing and coding a mobile app, writing for various blogs, performing spoken word, producing two podcasts, serving as editor of my residency blog, and teaching a college course.
